London BMX tracks, free to Olympic
London has BMX for every level, from free local tracks to the 2012 Olympic venue. Prices, rules and addresses come from the operators and councils.
Winter sessions can be cancelled on the day because of weather or track conditions. Hours, closures and rules change, so check the linked official page on the day you go.
Lee Valley VeloPark BMX

It's run by Better. BMX Learn to Ride and BMX Taster sessions are 60 minutes for £17.50, for ages 7+ with a minimum height of 127 cm. Bike and helmet hire are included; gloves are £4.15. You need to pass a taster before you can book Pay and Ride (£7.25), which requires a full-face helmet and covered arms and legs.

Southwark Council's track offers coaching and women-only sessions, with equipment hire included. It's the home of Peckham BMX Club. Rock up and Ride sessions are free with no booking, but riders need track accreditation. That assessment is for ages 8+; call 07976 340111 to arrange it.

Free, and open whenever the park is open. It closes for club sessions every Sunday from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. (Hackney BMX Club coaches Sundays from 10 to 12). The park closes as early as 5 p.m. in winter.
